Kedwell blow for Gillingham

Gillingham striker Danny Kedwell will be sidelined for around three weeks after undergoing a knee operation.

Kedwell, who has scored four goals this season, went under the knife to fix an injury which has kept him out since August 30. Manager Peter Taylor said: "Danny is going to be out for about three weeks, he has had the scrape (to remove cartilage). "If it goes well it will be three weeks, he'll carry on doing a lot of work." Taylor is confident he has the attacking options to cope with Kedwell's absence and will not be looking to dip into the loan market. "Not at the moment no," he added. "I have Antonio German and Brennan Dickensen who can do that. I have Cody McDonald, Luke Norris and Aaron Millbank too."
