Jordan Spence: Back at Stadium:mk
MK Dons have completed the signing of former West Ham defender Jordan Spence on a permanent deal.
Spence, who has previously enjoyed two loan spells at stadium:mk, has put pen to paper on a one-year contract with the option of another 12 months.
The 24-year-old was released by the Hammers this summer and the Dons have beaten off competition from several clubs to sign the former England Under-21 international.
"It feels great to be back, I'm really, really happy to be here," Spence told the club's official website.
"I've said many times how much I enjoyed my spells here last season, so I'm looking forward to pulling on the Dons shirt once again.
"I spent nine years at West Ham so this was a big decision for me and I've definitely made the right one. I'm determined to do all I can for MK Dons."
Spence, who can operate in the centre and on the right-hand side of defence, made 31 appearances for the Dons during the 2013/14 campaign and scored two goals.
He will be eligible to play on Saturday when Karl Robinson's side host Coventry.
"I'm ecstatic to be able to bring Jordan back to the club," said Dons boss Robinson. "He was a little bit out of our reach at first - I know there was interest from Championship clubs but for whatever reason nothing materialised.
"He will push the two centre-halves and the full-backs because he's a natural right-back anyway. He provides us with great strength in depth and hopefully we can build on that."
