Oldham Athletic have signed George Elokobi on a one-year deal following his release from Wolves.
Elokobi, primarily a left-back, has over 150 professional appearances, some of which came in the Barclays Premier League during his time with Wolves. The 28-year-old was a second-half substitute in Oldham's pre-season friendly with Huddersfield and he will be available for selection for the season opener against Colchester, a former club of his. Elokobi will wear the Latics' number five shirt this season and the deal is subject to Football League clearance.
