Northampton have further strengthened their squad ahead of the new season by signing former Reading midfielder Lawson D'Ath.
The 21-year-old failed to make a first-team appearance for the Royals but has gained experience during loan spells with Yeovil, Cheltenham, Exeter and Dagenham. With D'Ath having impressed when on trial in a pre-season win at Eastleigh, Town boss Chris Wilder said: "Lawson did well and we feel he will add something to the squad. "With Lewis Hornby still unfortunately injured, I felt we were a body short in midfield and Lawson will give us a good option in there. He did well at Eastleigh and we are pleased he will be part of the squad."
