Holmes hopeful for Rovers

Defender Danny Holmes is expected to shrug off a slight knock in time to play in Tranmere's friendly against Everton on Tuesday.

Ridehalgh picked up an ankle injury at Rhyl on Friday night which will force him to sit out the high-profile Prenton Park clash. Rovers boss Rob Edwards told Tranmere Player: "Danny had a knock but he's training this morning and should play against Everton. Liam is having a scan and there are a couple of players in the treatment room, which isn't ideal, but it's part of the game."
