Kyel Reid: Heads to Deepdale
Preston have completed the signing of Bradford winger Kyel Reid on a two-year contract.
The 26-year-old began his career with West Ham and had short spells with a number of clubs before settling at Valley Parade.
Reid made more than 100 appearances across three seasons with the Bantams, in which time he helped the club reach two Wembley finals.
The left-sided forward last appeared for the West Yorkshire club on January 18, but has convinced Preston he will fully recover from his knee injury.
North End manager Simon Grayson said: "I have worked with Kyle before at Blackpool and Glynn (Snodin) has also worked with him, so we know a lot about him.
"He has been a big player for Bradford in the past couple of seasons and he's the sort of player we have been looking to bring into the squad over the last few months.
"He is still young and hungry and we are looking forward to working with him.
"He did his ACL cruciate ligament in January against Sheffield United. He is on his rehabilitation still at the moment, but we did an extensive two-day medical and everything is fine.
"He is determined to come back fitter and sharper than he was this time last year, so we had no hesitation in doing the deal now and I am delighted that we have done it."
Reid told the club's official website: "I'm more than happy to finally get it over the line and pleased that the medical was passed.
"I'm just looking forward to working with Simon and Snods now and Preston, and hopefully doing my extra bit to help them get promotion."
