Chris Wilder: Not happy with his side
Chris Wilder called Northampton's 3-0 loss to Bury 'unacceptable' as they failed to emerge from the drop zone.
First-half goals from Hallam Hope, who had a spell at Sixfields earlier in the season, and Danny Mayor put the Shakers on their way. Substitute Danny Rose added a third goal in stoppage-time as Bury finally found form in front of goal to end a run of four games without a win.
Wilder said: "That was an unacceptable performance. The players seemed to be feeling sorry for themselves but with only few games to go they can't do that.
"They cannot do that, they have to drive themselves and their team-mates on.
"It's all about decision making and out of the 14 players that played a part only five or six performed. They need to do better in all aspects of their game.
"We had to change the way we set up before kick-off but we started quite well. I thought we shaded the opening period before we conceded a ridiculous goal.
"But we've conceded two goals and given ourselves a mountain to climb. We were the architect's of our downfall and we had to chase the game again.
"I keep saying we need to score the first goal in games and we are not doing that. We are getting edgy and nervous in our performances.
"We've got some experienced players and they've got to do better. We've got some big players who didn't perform."
