Image: Jamie Cureton: Pushing for a start

Team news for Saturday's League Two clash between Cheltenham Town and Torquay United at Whaddon Road.

Cheltenham's midweek hero Jamie Cureton will hope to earn himself a start against Torquay. The 38-year-old stepped off the bench to net the equaliser at Oxford, his eighth goal of the season, and he faces a battle with Byron Harrison and Terry Gornell to get into the Robins XI. Manager Mark Yates could also be tempted into handing David Noble his first start of 2014 after the Rotherham loanee made his comeback from a hamstring injury as a substitute against the U's on Tuesday evening. That midweek point lifted Cheltenham into 11th place, nine points clear of the relegation zone. Torquay midfielder Joss Labadie can feature against Cheltenham despite the possibility that he could begin a 10-game ban next week. The Gulls have until Monday to decide whether to appeal his suspension for violent conduct against Chesterfield last month, which means he is available to line up against the Robins having netted the winner against Rochdale on Tuesday but it could be his final appearance of the campaign. Manager Chris Hargreaves selected an attacking 4-4-2 formation against Dale and lively wingers Shamir Goodwin and Courtney Cameron are set to start again having impressed. And Hargreaves has no fresh injury or suspension worries as they look to cut the seven-point gap between themselves and safety.
