Ferguson wanted more goals

Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson felt his side should have scored more than four goals against Crewe.

Britt Assombalonga, Nicky Ajose and Danny Swanson all found the back of the net before Conor Washington pounced for his first goal in Posh colours to seal a 4-2 home win over the Alex. Ferguson said: "It was great to see all four of my front players get themselves a goal, but in all honesty we could have scored more as we caused Crewe problems all afternoon. "It was an entertaining game though and our fans will have gone away happy with what they have seen. "The players produced a good response to back-to-back defeats and we now need to press on in our final 12 games. "Everyone knows out pitch is in poor condition, but the wide areas are not too bad and we used them to our advantage. We played with a lot of common sense."
