Mo Farah has confirmed he will compete at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in July.

The double world and Olympic champion's participation was in doubt after his coach Alberto Salazar advised him to not compete in any more marathons until after the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

However, the 31-year-old revealed on Twitter that he will be part of Team England's squad.

Farah tweeted: "Hi guys! I will be running in the Commonwealth Games this year! See you in Glasgow!"

Farah finished eighth in last month's London Marathon with a time of two hours, eight minutes and 21 seconds.

Team England's athletic selection panel will meet on June 2 to discuss their squad for the Commonwealth Games. The will announce their squad a week later.

The Commonwealth Games gets under way on July 23.
