Charley Hull: Not getting carried away
Europe's newest golfing sensation, Charley Hull, says she is not setting herself any immediate targets for the next couple of years, preferring to simply take 'one round at a time.'
The Kettering teenager turns 18 later this week and, on Sunday, secured her first title on the Women's European Tour via a play-off victory at the Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco.
The world No 65 had finished second in the same tournament 12 months ago, and went on to make a massive impression last year on her Solheim Cup debut in Colorado where she beat former US Open champion Paula Creamer in the singles.
Speaking about her victory last weekend, she told Sky Sports News: "It was dream round, and the best feeling ever."
But was she nervous? "I wasn't nervous during my round, only the final putt in the play-off.
"This was more nervous than beating Paula Creamer in the Solheim last year because I didn't want to come second again."
As for looking ahead, the Woburn-based player added: "I try not to set too many targets, just focus one shot at a time but I would just like to win again."
