Morecambe winger Marcus Marshall will spend all of next season on loan with Skrill Premier side Lincoln.

The Sky Bet League Two club had made Marshall, who spent most of last term injured, available for transfer this summer.

The 24-year-old joins former Shrimps player Tony Diagne at the non-league club.

"We have never really seen the best of Marcus as he had a lot of injuries last season," boss Jim Bentley said on the club's official website.

"We all hope he has more luck this season and makes an impact at Lincoln.

"He is at the age where he needs to play first-team football and with the squad we have now I can't promise him that, so it will be good for him."
