Blackpool have confirmed striker Nile Ranger has joined the Sky Bet Championship club.

The 23-year-old former Newcastle forward has penned a one-year deal at Bloomfield Road, with the option of a further year, and is available for their first home fixture of the season against Blackburn in the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday.

Ranger, whose career has been blighted by a string of off-field controversies, was a free agent following his mutual release from League One Swindon this summer.
