Simon Lappin: Back in Scottish football with St Johnstone

Former St Mirren and Norwich City midfielder Simon Lappin has signed for St Johnstone.

The 31-year-old has agreed a two-year deal with the Scottish Cup holders, bolstering Tommy Wright's squad.

Lappin spent 10 years in Paisley before joining Norwich in 2007, making more than 100 appearances for both clubs.

He joined Cardiff City in 2013 but did not make a single appearance for the Welsh side, then in the Premier League, and spent three momths on loan at League One Sheffield United.
