Former Champion Colin Turkington will return to the BTCC in 2013 driving WSR's new NGTC BMW 1-Series.

Turkington won the title with the team in 2009, driving a BMW 3-Series, before contesting selected rounds of the WTCC with the WSR in 2010.

After a season spent racing in Sweden, the Northern Irishman spent most of 2012 on the sidelines, making a solitary appearance in a WSR run Chevrolet at the Chinese round of the WTCC.

"I'm really excited to be back in the BTCC with eBay Motors for the 2013 season," Turkington said.

"I have a long relationship with WSR and we've experienced some great success together in both the BTCC and WTCC. I am hoping to bring that success once again this year.

"Getting behind the wheel of the NGTC specification BMW will be a new challenge and I can't wait to be back on the grid for the opening round at Brands Hatch on 31 March."

Turkington's return means there will be four champions on the grid in 2013, with 2012 winner Gordon Shedden partnered at Honda by triple-Champion Matt Neal and two-time winner Jason Plato at MG.
