Sylvain Guintoli claimed his second World Superbike pole position of the season, as he posted the fastest time in qualifying ahead of Sunday’s races in Malaysia.

Another Briton, Jonathan Rea, who is currently second in the table after five of 13 meetings, could only post the 10th fastest time.
Irishman Eugene Laverty was seventh fastest while the British trio of Chaz Davies, Alex Lowes and Leon Haslam are eighth, ninth and 11th respectively on the grid.
