Marc Marquez set the pace at Misano on Friday
Championship leader Marc Marquez has continued his impressive form this season after finishing quickest in Friday's practice session ahead of this weekend's San Marino MotoGP.
The Spaniard, bidding to become the youngest ever MotoGP world champion, finished 0.33 seconds ahead of Repsol Honda team-mate Dani Pedrosa in second, with Valentino Rossi finishing in third.
Defending champion Jorge Lorenzo was fourth quickest on the factory Yamaha, whilst Aleix Espargaro finished fifth on the ART-Aprilia.
Marquez is 30 points clear of Pedrosa in the race for the title as the 20-year-old bids to become the first rookie to win the world championship since Kenny Roberts in 1978.
Britain's Cal Crutchlow will be looking for an improvement during Saturday's qualifying session at Misano after finishing tenth in the opening practice session of the weekend.
