WWE Raw: Monday night's show postponed due to inclement weather in north-east USA

WWE Raw was postponed on Monday night ahead of the snow storm that peppered the United States’ north east.

WWE’s flagship show was due to be broadcast from the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut but the inclement weather forced the programme to instead emanate from WWE’s base in Stamford.

No matches took place at WWE headquarters, though there was plenty of fallout from Sunday’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view, where Brock Lesnar retained the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and Roman Reigns emerged victorious from the 30-man main event.

Roman Reigns and his legendary cousin, The Rock, reflect on the 2015 Royal Rumble.

Lesnar and Reigns are now poised to fight for WWE’s top title at WrestleMania 31 on March 29, and came face-to-face for the first time at the relocated Raw.

The Beast Incarnate and the former Shield powerhouse went nose-to-nose following a surprisingly calm interview but did end up shaking hands.

Ready

Seth Rollins, meanwhile, commented on his defeat to Lesnar to Royal Rumble, saying he had learned from his loss and would be ready for The Anomaly when he finally decides to cash in his Money in the Bank contract.

Plus, Daniel Bryan explained that he had no hard feelings towards Reigns in the wake of his Rumble triumph, while Dean Ambrose – after braving the torrid weather to get from Pennsylvania to Stamford – insisted his Road to WrestleMania would be full of twists and turns.

Conditions in the States also led to WWE postponing Tuesday’s Smackdown taping Boston, with the show now to take place on Thursday evening in Hartford.
