WWE Raw reults: Brock Lesnar marmalises John Cena inside of a steel cage

Beast Incarnate floors guest General Manager Chris Jericho, too

Brock Lesnar returned to Raw on Monday night to lay John Cena and Chris Jericho to waste.

The WWE World Heavyweight Champion clocked Cena with three German suplexes and an F5 during his Royal Rumble opponent’s main-event, steel-cage match with Seth Rollins.

But The Anomaly had already left his mark during a previous portion of the show, obliterating Raw’s guest General Manager Jericho moments before The Ayatollah of Rock 'n' Rolla was set to fight Paul Heyman.

Lesnar stormed Cena and Rollins’ metal-surrounded brawl on the red brand after both competitors had been left sprawled on the mat following Cena’s top-rope Attitude Adjustment.

The Beast Incarnate gave a brutal indication of the fate that may befall Cena when the two battle for Lesnar’s title, live on Sky Sports Box Office, at the Royal Rumble event on Sunday, January 25.

Rollins profited from The Beast Incarnate’s onslaught to Curb Stomp Cena and pick up the victory but the most intriguing aspect was The Aerialist’s handshake with Heyman, which suggested a possible alliance between two of WWE’s most astute minds.

Chris Jericho’s match with Paul Heyman on WWE Raw failed to start after Y2J was brutalised by WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar.

However, Heyman had Lesnar’s might, not his astute mind, to thank for avoiding a beat-down from Jericho earlier in the evening after Y2J had placed himself and the mouthy New Yorker in a match.

Lesnar clobbered Jericho with an F5 to leave the veteran prone, an outcome the Canadian had sidestepped previously when he enlisted Ryback to scare off United States Champion Rusev following a particularly spicy episode of The Highlight Reel.

Elsewhere, Big Show knocked out Erick Rowan – just as he did at WWE TLC – as he and Luke Harper defeated “Big Red” and new Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler in a tag-team tussle.

But The World’s Largest Athlete was left seeing stars later on when he was Superman punched by the returning Roman Reigns, seconds after The Juggernaut – the first official entrant in the 2015 Royal Rumble Match – had speared the twinkle-toed Fandango.

Gold and Stardust, meanwhile, were downed by The New Day’s Big E and Xavier Woods; Jimmy Uso dispatched WWE Tag Team Champion The Miz; and an irate Kane Chokeslammed Adam Rose and The Bunny, before paining the furry critter further with a Tombstone Piledriver.

Friday Night Smackdown comes to Tuesday this week. Watch the show live at 1am on Tuesday on Sky Sports 3 (channel 404).
