Nash: Fired from WWE
WWE Chief Operating Officer Triple H asserted his power and fired long-time friend Kevin Nash on the latest edition of Monday Night Raw.
The altercation between the two had been building for weeks, as Nash continued to both defy and provoke The Game on last week's editions of both Raw and SmackDown.
The mounting issues between the two finally came to a head this past Monday Night as Punk was addressing the WWE fans when Big Daddy Cool interrupted, and began trading verbal jabs with The Second City Saviour.
As the confrontation escalated, The Game came out to ease tensions. Nash informed him, though, that WWE wasn't big enough for both he and Punk, and that one of them would have to go.
The Game then revealed he had received security footage from L.A.'s STAPLES Center from the night of SummerSlam. The footage revealed that it was in fact Nash who had sneaked into the COO's office and sent a text to himself from Triple H's mobile phone.
The footage confirmed that Big Daddy Cool had been lying to his good friend for a number of weeks. Angered and frustrated at Nash's actions, the WWE COO finally handed Nash his walking papers by firing him live on Raw.
When Triple H attempted to leave the ring, Nash blocked his exit. But The Game was having none of it, and struck the seven-footer in the face before striding out of the ring.
Later that night, after CM Punk defeated conspiracy king R-Truth, Punk's Night Of Champions opponent Triple H took to the ring once again.
WWE's Chief Operating Officer challenged The Second City Saviour to make their match at Night Of Champions, a No Disqualification Match. Punk said he would comply with The Game's stipulation but only if Triple H agreed to quit as COO were he to lose. A stipulation The King of Kings confidently agreed to.
Raw's main event featured Christian, Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger and Wade Barrett against John Cena, Sheamus, John Morrison and Alex Riley in an Eight-Man Elimination Tag Team Match.
Morrison, A-Ry and Englishman Wade Barrett were eliminated from the bout early. Soon after that, Sheamus and Christian battled to a double count-out, leaving Cena to battle Ziggler and The All-American American Jack Swagger.
The two rivals were forced to work together, but their bickering and Cena's domination allowed him to eliminate both.
Having notched a big victory for his team, Cena was then ambushed by WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio, but the leader of the Cenation was ready for him and floored the Mexican with a super-strong Attitude Adjustment to send Del Rio scurrying from the ring.
