The Anaheim Ducks hauled themselves back into the play-offs with a 3-2 victory in game three of their Western Conference semi-final against the Los Angeles Kings.

The Ducks had lost the opening two games of the best-of-seven series but got their account up and running on Thursday with Corey Perry, Teemu Selanne and Ben Lovejoy scoring once in each period.

The Kings, who had won their previous six matches, replied through Jeff Carter and Mike Richards but never led and could not find an equaliser in the closing stages.

In the Eastern Conference, the Boston Bruins levelled up their series against the Montreal Canadiens at 2-2 after edging game four 1-0 at Bell Centre.

Matt Fraser, making his play-off debut after only just being recalled from American Hockey League duty, scored the winner one minute and 19 seconds into overtime.
