Jarome Iginla's overtime winner gave Boston a 3-2 win over Detroit
Jarome Iginla scored an overtime winner as Boston Bruins claimed a 3-2 win over Detroit Red Wings in the Stanley Cup play-offs to lead the best-of-seven Eastern Conference First Round series 3-1.
Iginla's shot was deflected but it was good enough to ensure the Bruins came from behind to claim victory.
Thursday's NHL results:
Kings 6 Sharks 3
(Sharks lead series 3-1)
Wild 2 Avalanche 1
(Series tied at 2-2)
Red Wings 2 Boston Bruins 3
(Bruins lead series 3-1)
A win against the Red Wings on Saturday will now be enough to earn them a second-round date with Montreal Canadiens.
Elsewhere, Minnesota Wild stifled Colorado Avalanche to claim a 2-1 victory and level the Western Conference First Round series at two apiece.
In the other match, Los Angeles Kings kept their hopes of progressing to the second round alive as they beat San Jose Sharks 6-3 to pull one back in their series, which they now trail 3-1.
