Great Britain bounced back from their opening-day loss to beat Romania 4-1 in their latest World Championship Division 1 Group B encounter in Lithuania.

Following a 4-0 reverse to Croatia on Sunday, coach Doug Christiansen started with Ben Bowns in net with Stephen Murphy being replaced.

Special teams proved the difference as GB converted twice on the powerplay, with Ben Davies opening the scoring at 32.45 and Colin Shields adding a third at 45.47.

In between, captain Jonathan Phillips netted on a four-on-four play before Ashley Tait struck a post.

Bowns was denied a deserved shut-out with just 46 seconds left when Otto Biro scored and there was still time for Mark Garside to find a fourth at 59.34.
