Maria Hofl-Riesch strengthened her position at the top of the World Cup downhill standings by picking up her second win in as many days at Lake Louise.

The German followed up her success in Friday's downhill race with another assured performance, crossing the line in one minute 55.09 seconds to finish 0.34secs ahead of Liechtenstein's Tina Weirather.

Anna Fenninger of Austria rounded off the podium with a time of 1:55.56.

American Lindsey Vonn continued her comeback from a knee injury, showing a dramatic improvement on Friday's 40th-placed finish by coming home 11th at the Canadian venue.
