Tina Maze made it four from four in the World Cup giant slalom's this season with victory in Courchevel.

The Slovenian clocked a combined time of two minutes 16.84 seconds to keep Kathrin Zettel in second place for a third time, 0.22secs behind.

French favourite Tessa Worley completed the podium 0.40secs behind the winner.

Maze's score of 799 points in the overall represents a record at this early stage of the campaign.

She leads by 331 over Maria Hoefl-Reisch with Zettel a further 28 points behind.

"Who could have said at the start of the season that I would hold that many points? It looks natural because I ski so well, but there's a lot of hard work behind each and every point," said Maze.

Lindsey Vonn failed to complete the first run and will now have a complete break before returning in a downhill race at St Anton on January 12.
