Mike Trout: Hit a home run for the Angels
Mike Trout and Mark Trumbo celebrated their call ups to the All-Star team with home runs as the Los Angeles Angels beat the Toronto Blue Jays 10-6.
Rookie Trout's solo shot in the eighth represented the go-ahead run, and Trumbo followed it up with a homer of his own.
Another All Star - CJ Wilson - got the win despite only going five innings, allowing two runs - one earned - on three hits and five walks.
Jim Thome went hitless on his Baltimore debut as the Orioles lost 6-2 to the Cleveland Indians.
A day after being traded by Philadelphia, Thome was kept quiet by Justin Masterson, who fanned seven in seven strong innings, allowing two runs, one of which was unearned. Shelley Duncan and Aaron Cunningham homered for the Indians.
