Nicky Henderson: Plotting raid on Musselburgh on Sunday

Friday's Gallops Report comes from Middleham and Lambourn and includes De Boitron, Angel Sun, Speed Master and others.

Middleham:

DE BOITRON stood out in his work on Ferdy Murphy's Eurotrack all-weather, limbering-up for a Musselburgh date on Sunday.

The gelding really grabbed the ground and seems in good heart ahead of his bid for the Scottish Champion Chase, should racing be able to go ahead.

Although yet to strike form this season, his best performances came in the latter part of the 2010/11 campaign.

OUEST ECLAIR moved happily up the strip and seems in good order.

ANGEL SUN should soon make his mark in novice hurdles and was another to take the eye in some light work, with no questions asked.

Lambourn:

Nicky Henderson is planning an audacious raid on Musselburgh and has worked some of his possible travellers for that this week.

LYVIUS has shown promise both on the gallops and schooling ground and this four-year-old will make his debut for the yard in the Triumph Hurdle trial at the Scottish venue.

OWEN GLENDOWER wants better ground and also looked well in himself in some light work ahead of the novice chase event.

Of the others, SPEED MASTER has run up a sequence and will be hard to beat when next seen out judged on his current wellbeing.

PRINCE OF PIRATES is possibly not a natural jumper of fences but he's been in good shape since scoring at Doncaster.
