Sky Sports News racehorse On Demand a non-runner at Chepstow

Trainer Andrew Balding has withdrawn Sky Sports News racehorse On Demand from her engagement at Chepstow this afternoon.

The filly was due to have her seventh racecourse outing in the Unibet Champions League Injury Time Moneyback Handicap at the Welsh venue.

But the ground, now rated on the quick side of good, is too fast for the daughter of Teofilo and Balding will wait until he can find some soft going before running her again.

He told Sky Sports News HQ: "Unfortunately the ground has dried up, obviously too much for her.

"As you know she got jarred up on fast ground last year and we just wouldn't want to risk her on the drying ground.

"Some horses enjoy it but she isn't one of them unfortunately so we'll just have to wait - it's going to rain again at some stage this autumn.

"We'll probably wait a week or 10 days until we get some genuine rain and give her a couple of engagements, picking the one we are more likely to win."
