Jim Crowley: Injured at Kempton on Wednesday evening
Jim Crowley will sit out the action on Thursday following a nasty fall at Kempton on Wednesday evening.
The rider was aboard Dreaming Brave when the gelding fell around two furlongs from home in the one-mile maiden event, hampering two other runners who also both unshipped their jockeys.
While Crowley's agent Guy Jewell reports the rider to be uninjured, he will miss his scheduled rides at Lingfield and Kempton today to ensure he is on top form to partner Honor Bound in Friday's Investec Oaks at Epsom.
He said: "He's up and about but he's going to take today off and go for some physio to get himself right for tomorrow.
"He had some X-rays done last night and they all came back clear, but he's having some extensive physio today."
Crowley and Martin Lane, who was unseated from Slunovrat, both went to St Peter's Hospital in Chertsey for further checks following their tumbles.
Lane also escaped serious injury but described himself as "sore".
He tweeted: "Thankfully the X-rays were clear after my fall yesterday just a little sore today."
Sam Hitchcott, who was unshipped from Prince Ballygowen, was reported to have required no further treatment.
