Qewy was a surprise winner of the Listed Heritage Stakes at Leopardstown, with odds-on favourite Kingsbarns only third.

The Aidan O'Brien-trained Kingsbarns was well clear on official ratings but proved easy to back ahead of his seasonal bow on the rain-soaked ground.

Qewy led from flagfall under Declan McDonogh, with Kingsbarns second, and the front-runner was still in command turning into the straight.

The four-year-old 11/1 chance managed to shake them all off up the home straight, with Pop Art mounting the strongest challenge of his four rivals but still coming up three-quarters of a length short.
