England Netball long squad announced for Commonwealth Games

England Netball announce long squad of eighteen players ahead of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

The squad will be entering training camps over the coming weeks before being whittled down to the final 12 at the start of July.

The opening ceremony for the Games takes place on Wednesday 23rd July with England's opening fixture in the tournament taking place two days later with Wales the opposition. Also competing in Pool B are Australia, South Africa, Trinidad & Tobago and Barbados.

Semi-finals and the final itself take place over the weekend of 2nd and 3rd of August.

The England long squad for the 2014 Commonwealth Games are as follows;

Ama Agbeze, Rosie Allison, Sara Bayman, Eboni Beckford-Chambers, Jade Clarke, Kadeen Corbin, Sasha Corbin, Rachel Dunn, Stacey Francis, Serena Guthrie, Joanne Harten, Helen Housby, Lindsay Keable, Laura Malcolm, Geva Mentor, Mia Ritchie, Hannah Reid and Alice Travis.

Due to the injury sustained by Pamela Cookey and her further withdrawal, the captain for the squad will be named at a later date.
