The Australia netball squad named on Wednesday for this year's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow
Tegan Caldwell is the only new cap named in Australia's squad for this year's Commonwealth Games in Scotland.
The 25-year-old shooter from Victoria is part of a 12-player squad hoping to reclaim the title for the first time since 2002 in Manchester.
Five of the squad have already tasted Commonwealth Games experience and coach Lisa Alexander admitted: "It's been 12 long and painful years since Australia last stood atop the Commonwealth Games podium, so we're confident that we've picked a team that will end our golden drought in Glasgow.
"It's been an arduous task for the selectors to pick a team of 12 athletes to represent Australia. A selection that we've deliberated and debated endlessly to ensure we have the best team to reclaim the gold medal."
Four players, skipper Laura Geitz, Kimberlee Green, Renae Hallinan and Natalie Medhurst, were members of the team that lost a dramatic final to New Zealand in 2010.
The Australian team will return to Canberra for a camp at the end of June before departing for pre-Games training in Manchester.
Australia opens its Commonwealth Games campaign against Wales on July 24 before other pool matches against England (July 26), Barbados (July 27), Trinidad & Tobago (July 28) and South Africa (July 30).
Full squad: Laura Geitz; Bianca Chatfield; Caitlin Bassett; Tegan Caldwell; Julie Corletto; Kimberlee Green; Renae Hallinan; Sharni Layton; Natalie Medhurst; Kimberley Ravaillion; Madison Robinson; Caitlin Thwaites.
