Player-coach Tamsin Greenway says unbeaten Surrey Storm are in the best shape they have ever been in as they attempt to win the Superleague Grand Final at the third time of asking.

The Storm will face Manchester Thunder in Saturday's showpiece at the Worcester Arena after both sides came from behind to win their semi-finals on Easter Monday.

Greenway's Storm claimed their 13th win of the season as they came back from a 26-21 half-time deficit to prevail 52-42 against Hertfordshire Mavericks - whom they lost the 2011 final to.

This year's Grand Final is a repeat of the 2012 season climax - which saw Thunder defeat Surrey by two goals at the SportHouse in Dagenham, Essex - and Greenway's charges are aiming to go one better this time.

"I know that if we maintain our focus, play consistently and fight for every ball, we can make it third time lucky"

Looking forward to the game, the player-coach said: "The players have worked hard all season towards this goal.

"We are in the best shape we have ever been in and I am very positive ahead of Saturday's final.

Thunder ready

But it will be tough against a Thunder side who finished second in the regular Superleague table and also had to come from behind on Easter Monday, producing a 13-5 final quarter to run out 43-37 winners against reigning champions Team Bath.

The ZEO player-of-the-match, Thunder's Sara Bayman, told Sky Sports that Tracey Neville's side are up for the challenge ahead this weekend.

"Its massive to have a northern representative in that final and in these semis, and we're really keen to take that title back," she said.

"It's going to be a massive, massive test for us but you know, you've got to be in it to win it so we will look forward to it."

But Thunder must work out a way to stop the goal-scoring prowess of Storm's Rachel Dunn, who was awarded the player-of-the-match against Mavericks, notching 38 goals from 40 shots - a 95 per cent shooting accuracy.
