Pamela Cookey: England captain to miss Australia tour

England Netball have announced their squad for the tour of Australia in May.

The tour will be an important part of the team's preparation for this summer's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

England will play games against state sides as well as practice against teams from the Australian Netball League and the ANZ.

Sara Bayman will captain the team in the absence of Pamela Cookey who will not travel to Australia due to individual performance plans and training priorities ahead of the Commonwealth Games.

Squad: Sara Bayman (capt), Stacey Francis (vice-capt), Serena Guthrie (vice-capt), Rosie Allison (subject to availability), Sam Cook, Kadeen Corbin, Sasha Corbin, Rachel Dunn, Jodie Gibson, Helen Housby, Lindsay Keable, Laura Malcolm, Hannah Reid, Mia Ritchie.

Beth Cobden, Emma Dovey, Sophie Hankin, Alice Travis have also been selected as reserves.
