The UK domestic match attendance record will officially be broken when Surrey Storm take on the Hertfordshire Mavericks on Saturday 8th March with over 2000 tickets already sold for Netball London Live.

The side's go head-to-head at London's Copper Box Arena in front of a recording-breaking crowd with just over two weeks left until the big day.

The previous record of 1607 was achieved at the end of the 2013 Superleague season when Team Bath defeated Celtic Dragons at the Grand Final in Worcester.

The event is set to showcase UK netball on a grand scale, as two of the ZEO Superleague's top sides meet at the half-way point of the 2014 season at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

"To know that we will be playing in front of so many fans at such an iconic venue is very exciting for the whole squad."

Mark Garfoot, Surrey Storm Franchise Director, said: "To reach this milestone with two weeks to go is a real achievement.

"We wanted Netball London Live to be big, but we didn't anticipate such positive sales so far in advance!"

Meanwhile, Storm player-coach Tamsin Greenway is delighted to be playing at such an iconic venue in front of so many fans.

"To know that we will be playing in front of so many fans at such an iconic venue is very exciting for the whole squad," she said.

"We can't wait to get there and be part of it. Our season has started very well and we will be looking to keep that going in front of this record breaking crowd at the Copper Box Arena!"
