Blake Griffin scored 24 points as the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Denver Nuggets 117-105 to register their franchise-record 57th win of the season.

Chris Paul (21) and JJ Redick (18) helped the Clippers set a new 34-7 franchise mark at the Staples Center while DeAndre Jordan added 13 points and 16 rebounds.

Kenneth Faried top-scored for the Nuggets with 21 points and Russian center Timofey Mozgov drained 11.

The victory keeps the Clippers in sight of the second seed spot in the Western Conference play-offs - Doc Rivers' men need to beat the Portland Trail Blazers and hope Oklahoma City Thunder lose to Detroit Pistons on Wednesday.

Impressed

The Knicks emerged victorious from the latest battle for honours in New York by beating the Brooklyn Nets 109-98.

Six Knicks players finished with double figures at the Barclays Center as the visitors secured a 3-1 season series victory over their crosstown rivals.

Amar'e Stoudemire and JR Smith poured in 14 points apiece while Tim Hardaway Jr (16) and Cole Aldrich played well off the bench.
