Chesson Hadley: American refuels during final round of Puerto Rico Open

Chesson Hadley stayed cool on the final day of the Puerto Rico Open to claim a two-stroke victory.

The 26-year-old American, who led by one overnight, had six birdies and one bogey in his closing five-under 67 to finish on 21-under-par overall.

New Zealand's Danny Lee was second at 19 under after a 68 which included seven birdies, but also bogeys on the seventh, eighth and 12th.

American Ben Martin ended up third, a further two strokes back, while Wes Roach, Richard H Lee, David Toms, Carl Petterson and Jason Gore all tied for fourth on 16 under.

The victory was Hadley's first on the PGA Tour in his 13th career start.

The Puerto Rico Open is an opposite field event for players who did not qualify for the WGC-Cadillac Championship.
