Super League: Hull KR caretaker Chris Chester warns full-back Greg Eden

Hull KR caretaker head coach Chris Chester has told full-back Greg Eden he is on his final warning at the club.

The former Huddersfield Giants man, who had a spell on loan with Salford this season, was axed from the squad for last Sunday’s defeat to the Red Devils.

Eden was dropped for disciplinary reasons and Chester insists the defeat to Salford was on his shoulders as much as those who played in the contest.

He let everybody down at the club and he has to earn the respect back from the boys. That was a final warning for him and the others.

Adam Walker, Jonny Walker and Wayne Ulugia have also all been disciplined for off-field reasons this season and Chester says there will be no return for the next player who steps out of line.

“Greg returns this weekend,” Chester told the Hull Daily Mail ahead of their clash against London Broncos. “He has served his punishment.

“I spoke to him at length on Monday, and told him in no uncertain terms that he had a big part to play in the Salford defeat.

“He let everybody down at the club and he has to earn the respect back from the boys. That was a final warning for him and the others.

“The chairman has made his disappointment clear and it won't be tolerated. The next one that steps out of line it will be curtains for them.”
