Bradford Bulls have confirmed rising talent Adam O'Brien has agreed a new two-year deal with the relegated club.

Young hooker O’Brien, a product of the club’s academy who turned 21 last month, is now tied to the club until the end of the 2016 season.

He joined Bradford at the age of 16, made his first-team debut back in 2011 and has this season scored six tries in 25 appearances.

"My focus was always to stay at the club. When we were relegated the directors said they wanted to offer me a contract and I was more than willing to sign it."

O'Brien was a stand-out performer in the Bulls' back-to-back victories over Wigan Warriors and Leeds Rhinos and is delighted to be staying at Bradford.

“I have been given a chance to really perform over the last few weeks and, hopefully, have made the most of it,” said the Halifax-born forward.

Delighted

“Now I have been offered a new contract - to stay for another two years - and I am delighted about it.

“My focus was always to stay at the club. When we were relegated the directors said they wanted to offer me a contract and I was more than willing to sign it.

“I have been with the Bulls for over five years and felt there was no reason for me to leave. The club provided me with a massive opportunity and I owe it to those who have stood by me and improved me as a player.

“The squad for next year is looking very good and I am really impressed with the signings being made. I am already looking forward to getting pre-season out of the way, so we can get playing - and back up into Super League.

“Our supporters have been immense and everything about the club is great at the minute. I am looking forward to my future with the Bulls.”
