Manchester United youngster Tom Lawrence has been named in Wales' squad for next month's European Qualifier in Andorra.
The forward, an U21 international, is one of three uncapped players included along with goalkeepers Owain Fon Williams of Tranmere and Kyle Letheren of Dundee.
Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey are both in a 23-man party for the Group B opener on September 9, while Hull City defender James Chester and Fulham forward George Williams are retained after winning their first caps against Holland in June.
Wales are ranked behind group rivals Belgium and Bosnia and Herzegovina, but the new 24-team finals format means third place in qualifying guarantees at least a play-off place.
And Chris Coleman told Sky Sports News HQ the time has come for his players to end a 56-year wait for major tournament football.
He said: "We've got a bigger chance now because of the format. Everyone says what good players we've got, and we have.
"More and more players are playing at the top level which is what we've always wanted, we're doing well in the rankings, but we've got to go into it believing. It's almost got to be an obsession rather than us being committed.
"People will look at Belgium and Bosnia and say the next four teams are fighting for third place, but we've got to look at it and say we can affect that top two. I believe at our strongest we can, and I think we've got a great, great chance."
Champions League winner Bale will be expected to lead Wales' qualifying challenge along with Arsenal's Ramsey, and Coleman believes both are up to the task.
"Gareth's in good spirits," he said. "He doesn't need me to explain importance of what's ahead. We're all very excited.
"Aaron's a quality player and last year everyone looked at him and thought: 'he's as good as we thought he'd be'. I think there's more to come from him."
The Andorra game could take place on an artificial 3G pitch, and Bale's Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti expressed concern about the surface when he met with Coleman recently.
But Coleman said: "Madrid understand Gareth's got a job to play for Wales. If he's available he's going to play."
