St Helens forward Willie Manu says they'll be looking to captain Paul Wellens' leadership during the eagerly-anticipated derby against Wigan.
Third-placed Wigan host leaders Saints on Friday in a clash being shown live on Sky Sports 1HD at 8pm.
Manu believes the visitors will be greatly helped by the experienced 34-year-old skipper - who again showed his worth when he ran in two tries in the win over Castleford last time which sent the Saints top.
Manu told Sky Sports: "He's always calming, he’s always saying the right things.
"Like, when you know it’s time for the captain to talk, he's really good at psyching the players up to get out there before the games."
Manu intends to stay focused within the atmosphere of the derby clash, saying: "Obviously you want to do something to help your team but at the same time, you need to also do your job and practise the things you were doing at training.
"So you can't be too keen but I think if you just work hard and play as a team, I think that helps."
