Wigan forward Liam Farrell faces the threat of suspension after being charged with making a dangerous tackle in his side's defeat by Wakefield on Sunday.

The 23-year-old has been charged with a Grade B lifting offence in relation to a tackle on Wildcats forward Taulima Tautai in the 36-28 loss.

The offence carries a punishment of a one or two-match suspension.

Farrell's team-mate Anthony Gelling has also been charged with a minor Grade A offence of punching during the same match.

Bradford captain and caretaker coach Matt Diskin, who is waiting to discover if he will remain in temporary charge for Sunday's game against Warrington, is facing a Grade A charge of striking, along with Hull KR forward Neville Costigan, after an incident in the Robins' 44-18 victory.

All four players have until 11am on Tuesday to submit an early guilty plea and avoid a disciplinary hearing.
