Garreth Carvell: Has joined Castleford on loan for rest of the season
Hull FC's veteran prop Garreth Carvell has joined Castleford Tigers on loan for the remainder of the season.
The 34-year-old made seven appearances for the Black and Whites, his last coming in the club’s disappointing Magic Weekend defeat to city rivals Hull KR.
"He has struggled for opportunities this year behind a number of bright young forwards that are developing at the club which is certainly the future for us and he understands that."

Carvell is now behind the likes of youngsters Josh Bowden, Jordan Thompson and Liam Watts along with pairing Feka Paleaaesina and Mickey Paea while he had also been informed his contract would not be extended.
Hull FC's football manager Motu Tony told the club’s official website: “Garreth is a good professional and has led by example in both his spells at the club.
"He has struggled for opportunities this year behind a number of bright young forwards that are developing at the club which is certainly the future for us and he understands that.
“A move to Castleford represents very good business for us and gives Garreth the chance to earn a new contract elsewhere, whilst it also takes a bit of pressure off our cap.”
