Tony Bellew and Nathan Cleverly: Will be in action at the Echo Arena on July 12

Rivals Tony Bellew and Nathan Cleverly will both be in action on the same bill at the Echo Arena in Liverpool on July 12, live on Sky Sports.

The duo - who are both now fighting at cruiserweight - will be eager to record victories to further the prospect of them facing each other for a second time in their careers.

"July 12 promises to be a great night in Liverpool – as we sign off for the summer with a bang."
Eddie Hearn

Their first meeting went the way of Cleverly, the Welshman recording a points success back in October 2011 to retain his WBO Light-Heavyweight title.

Both fighters have recently moved up a division, with Bellew marking his debut at the 200lb-limit with an 11th-round stoppage of Valery Brudov in March. Cleverly, meanwhile, saw off Shawn Corbin in two rounds last month.

Promoter Eddie Hearn will confirm who the pair will face at a press conference on June 10 as he prepares to close out the season in style.

Also in action will be unbeaten super-middleweight Rocky Fielding, brothers Paul, Stephen and Callum Smith and heavyweight Anthony Joshua.

“July 12 promises to be a great night in Liverpool – as we sign off for the summer with a bang,” said Hearn.

“There’s real animosity between Tony and Nathan as they aim to overcome one final hurdle before they meet in October. Anthony fights in Liverpool for the first time as a pro and Callum and Rocky will be in big step ups.”
