Elliott keen on Robins stay

Birmingham midfielder Wade Elliott hopes a deal can be concluded this week to keep him at Bristol City.

The midfielder, who has been as Ashton Gate since January 28, helped the Robins climb out of the League One relegation zone with a 2-1 win over Gillingham on Saturday, the last match of his current loan spell. "I've found everything here to be very good since I joined Bristol City and I've enjoyed it here," he told the Bristol Evening Post. "There is a great bunch of lads here, the set-up is fantastic, this is a good club and a great place to be. "I've enjoyed getting some games and, if the chance arises for me to come back, then I will be pleased with that. The clubs are talking and, depending on what comes back, I'll be very happy to stay. "I've probably played more games here in the last month than in the whole of the season and I would like that to continue."
