ACT Brumbies swarmed over Western Force in a first-half blitz before going on to seal a comprehensive 27-14 win at nib Stadium in Perth on Saturday.

Scott Fardy, Jesse Mogg and Robbie Coleman all went over the try line in the opening 22 minutes as the Canberra-based Brumbies went into the break 24-0 up after a half of utter domination.

The Brumbies bus came to a slow halt thereafter, allowing the Force to notch two soft tries to add some respectability to the scoreline.

It was a measure of revenge for the Brumbies, who were upset by the Force at the same venue in the final round last season, a result that cost them a top-two berth heading into the play-offs.

The Force were kept scoreless until the final three minutes when replacement back Jayden Hayward crossed over after a dash up the right wing from full-back Luke Morahan.

Number eight Ben McCalman added the hosts second try after the final hooter, but they remain winless after three games and look set for a very long season.

Brumbies captain Ben Mowen admitted to a little disappointment in allowing the two late tries, but was pleased with the result.

"That first half was exactly what we wanted," he said. "To get four points here is a pretty difficult thing.

"They ruined our momentum going into the finals last year and we know how dangerous they are."

Meanwhile, Force skipper Matt Hodgson said his team paid the price for a terrible start.

"We weren't physical enough in the contact," he said. "They got quick ball and we allowed them to play, we couldn't get into the game for the first 40."
