Adrian Morley says Salford has changed a lot since he was a junior Red Devil

Veteran prop Adrian Morley says that Salford has taken a huge leap forward since the days when he stood on the terraces.

"It seemed like it was the biggest stadium in the world," said the British international appearance record-holder of his boyhood visits to the club's former home, The Willows.

"Everything was big, being a kid. There were probably only four or five thousand there but it seemed like there was ten or twenty thousand.

"I didn't really know what was going on on the field but there was plenty of battering and barging."

The club moved to the purpose-built Salford City Stadium two years ago and since Dr Marwan Kouskash has injected much-needed funds, Morley feels that the club really is on the up.

"Mr Koukash has built a brand new gym on site, there's a 3G pitch, there's also a grass pitch all in this complex so everyone knows where they are every day and it's a very vibrant and healthy place at the moment," he said.
