Fife Flyers' remarkable charge towards the Elite League play-off places continued on Tuesday night with a 3-1 victory over Dundee.

It was a sixth successive victory for the Flyers, who have now won eight of their last nine outings; while the injury-plagued Stars remain fifth, a point behind Braehead Clan with a game in hand.

A goalless opening period saw both defences dominate but when chances were created it was the respective goaltenders Kevin Regan of Flyers and Dan Bakala of Stars who were secure.

Jack MacLellan gave the Stars the lead in the second period but Ned Lukacevic levelled things up before Jordan Fulton saw the Flyers into the interval with the lead.

Kyle Haines added Flyers third goal at 44.20 with a further powerplay marker, making it a long road back for short-staffed Stars, who could only muster 12 skaters on the night.

Victory takes Fife within two points of Cardiff in the final play-off spot with eight games remaining.
