Wigan forward Eddy Pettybourne will miss the Warriors' First Utility Super League match against Wakefield on Sunday after submitting an early guilty plea to a high tackle in the World Club Challenge.

The United States second-rower, a summer arrival from Wests Tigers, was put on report for the late and high shot on Sydney Roosters winger Shaun Kenny-Dowall during Wigan's 36-14 defeat at the Sydney Football Stadium on Saturday.

Pettybourne, who missed the second half with a bicep injury, was charged by a World Club Challenge match review panel comprising the Rugby Football League's Steve Ganson and Michael Buettner, of the NRL, with a grade B offence.

That carried a ban of one or two matches and, because Pettybourne was eligible to make an early guilty plea, he received the lesser punishment.

Wildcats centre Dean Collis is another who will miss the DW Stadium encounter after also submitting an early plea for making dangerous contact with Bradford stand-off Lee Gaskell in the first minute of the match between Bradford and Wakefield.

Gaskell is facing a lay-off of up to 12 weeks after damaging his knee ligaments in the collision with Collis, who received a two-match ban for the offence.

London Broncos hooker Scott Moore was found not guilty of a grade D offence of making dangerous contact with Salford prop Darrell Griffin during his side's 44-18 defeat by the Red Devils.

He is free to face crisis-club Bradford at Odsal on Sunday.

Hull Kingston Rovers prop Justin Poore, who had been cited alongside Huddersfield centre Joe Wardle, for punching during separate brawls in the game at the John Smith's Stadium on Sunday received a one-match ban and £300 fine.

Wardle was found guilty of a lesser Grade A punching charge but was cleared to face Widnes on Friday after the tribunal took into account his previous good disciplinary record.

Catalan Dragons prop Julian Bousquet, who served a four-match ban last season, has incurred an identical punishment for a high tackle in the 32-6 defeat by Castleford.

The France international prop was cited for the challenge on Tigers full-back Jordan Tansey, and he will begin his latest ban against Leeds in Perpignan on Friday night.
