West Indies made light work of a target of 203 to beat Ireland by four wickets in the one-off ODI at Sabina Park.

An opening stand of 100 in 16.5 overs between Dwayne Smith and Kieran Powell laid the platform for a successful run chase.

Smith launched five fours and three sixes in his 53-ball 55, while Powell took a more sedate approach with 57 from 80 deliveries, including seven fours.

Stuart Thompson picked up 2-17 for Ireland as West Indies suffered a brief wobble before Marlon Samuels (26no) finished off the job with 80 deliveries to spare.

Ireland, who had shared the T20 series between the sides 1-1, were bowled out for 202 in 49.2 overs after opting to bat first.

Gary Wilson's 62 was the top score as several batsmen - including skipper William Porterfield (25) and Ed Joyce (25) - fell after making a start.

Seamers Jason Holder (3-34) and Dwayne Bravo (3-36) each picked up three wickets for West Indies, while Miguel Cummins took the new ball and claimed 1-42 on debut.

West Indies' next assignment is a three-match ODI series against England, starting in Antigua on Friday.
